Biting me on the ass
I have an interview for a job on Thursday. This job sort of fell into my lap, as I am sort of happy at my current job, I was not looking. I have known about this company for a while as I met one of the owners a few years back during a very drunken weekend out of town. During this weekend there was some public lewdness, lots of public drunkenness, and general behavior that I would not wish a future employer to witness. I really would not care that much, but I sort want this job.

The Injury Ward
I took a day of vacation today because Truck and I were both injured. Truck sprained his ankle. The vet gave him a dose of steroids. I sewed my finger with the sewing machine and it is all swollen and hurts REALLY bad.
We are both doing fine because we are loaded up on baby aspirin.

Pasha Bey: Savage Beast
Last night it stormed here, but Pasha insisted on going outside. Truck who does not like getting wet, reluctantly went with him. After a few minutes, I heard Truck barking and called them inside. Truck immediately came running, he knows that if comes when I call, he will get a treat. Pasha who usually beats Truck in was nowhere to be seen. I called Pasha a few more time and nothing. I started to worry because it is not like Pasha to ignore me and went to get the flashlight to look for him. I figured he must have been struck by lighting was laying dead in the yard. I found Pasha with his ass in the air and head stuck in a pile of branches that fell from the trees. He had found something and was not leaving his find.
I decided to leave him outside for a bit while Truck and I retired to the warmth of the bedroom. After about 30 minutes, I went to check on him. He was waiting next to the door soaking wet, snout cover in mud and blood. At his feet, the remains of a squirrel. He was mighty upset that he could not bring his prize inside with him. However, his displeasure with me was short lived for as soon as Truck saw the bloody squirrel carcass, a dog fight supreme ensued. Truck got the neck and Pasha got a hind leg. Now, all this is taking place in the doorway from the porch to my kitchen and as the battle progresses they move into the kitchen. My hysterical scream were ignored as squirrel parts go flying. I had to spray them spray hose from the kitchen sink to get them to stop. Well, not stop exactly. Truck used Pasha’s surprise to grab the squirrel and run outside. He lost interest very quickly and came back in the house to nap.

Some Pictures
When I have blog block, pictures of Truck always help.

I think that I have not been blogging very much lately because I have been using my quilting as my creative outlet. Don’t worry I am not going to turn this site into some sort of quilting blog, but I thought that you might like to see what I have been spending so much of my time on. This is not an art quilt but a wall hanging I made for someone.

This is one of the quilts I am entering in the state fair. It still has pins in it and is only a detail view as my studio is too small to get a full picture of it. I am working on an art quilt for the fair but it is not done yet.

Privacy Fence
The neighbors put up a privacy fence and I cannot be happier about it. Now the boys can no longer see the road, thus no barking at passing dogs. But the real reason I am happy about it is that now I can go outside in whatever state of dress I want.
