I took a mini vacation this weekend. I suppose to go away to a warm sunny place but those things never seem to work out for me. Since I requested the time off and I have become a little burnt out at work, I decided to take the time to putter around the house. Friday, I just prepared for the dinner party and I bought a few books and read them.
Three Little Lies – For book about lies, very little lying going on, perhaps that is why I liked it so much, not enough sex
Devil In Winter - This was alright. Not real original
The Rogue’s Return - I like Jo Beverley, but hate books with big secrets. If the stupid bitch just told the truth from the beginning it would saved all of us from torture of 380 pages.
Sunday, I spent the day recovering and took a little trip to the great state of Indiana. I met a dog named buddy and had a diet sized portion of Chile Rellenos. After all that excitement, I needed a nap and then did some dishes. I know! I lead an exciting life.
On my final day of vacation, I spent the day working in the yard. There is a dead tree in my back yard that has been raining braches all winter. I hauled the branches away, and then I raked up the last of leaves. I worked for about 3 hours and I never made it to the front yard, but I made some considerable progress. Now I can’t move. I am so sore, but have spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out how many calories I burned and what I can eat.
