Ethical Question

Remember the old man who died across the street? Well, he received the paper daily and it has been piling up in his driveway. I like to read the paper. Would it be wrong of me to steal a dead man’s newspaper?

If they are continuing to deliver it, I would assume that he already paid for it, and also that he would not mind.

No, but leave the pennies on his eyes.

You're performing a public service. If you didn't take them, they would pile up and cause the whole neighborhood to look trashy. This is your one chance to be a good neighbor by stealing somebody's paper. You HAVE to take advantage of it...

Let them pile up and take them all together. Not on a daily basis, as that may look creepy to a regular observor.
Otherwise, make sure noone's looking because they may not know he is dead.
