Party Girls

Midlife has suggested we go to this and I thought it was a splendid idea. Of course, I checked that Paducah was not in a dry county first. Imagine the wild times to be had. Perhaps it will inspire me to clean up the sewing room and finish my quilt.

God noooooooo. Let me stop you right fucking now! I was born and raised in the town of Paducah KY. Now don't get me wrong, Paducah is a great place to be FROM. Not place to BE mind you, but to be FROM. God the horror of 100,000 blue hairs invading my quaint little drinking holes every summer. It was a nightmare growing up. But if ya really like the quilting thing then I guess you would have a good time. Let me know I'll send you the list of bars you won't get your throat slit in.(town tends to be slightly red, I mean the favorite watering hole is the Kountry Kastle and yes I spelled it correctly.)

I am offically a spinster as I will be 31 in less two weeks. My birthday is Feb 4, feel free to send flowers or bourbon.

And there are some youngish hip quilters. Lots of hipster knit, I just happen to prefer quiliting.

I'm telling you, no matter how many hiptsers, quilt, knit, sew or finger paint. I you are under 60 you are outnumbered 20 to 1. Let's face it if there were many youg quilters coming then I would be all like. Yeah It's a great time to meet people, find hotties. No it is simply avoiding people who can't see over the steering wheel which means staying in til 8ish because by then all the quilters are in bed.

Thirty-one is a good age. (Although you'll actually beat me there by 53 days, so I could just be talking out of my ass.)

hehehe! I'd already checked with DH on the dry part, but he did say we may want to do our drinking OUTSIDE of paducah! Then again, it could be fun to turn paducah on it's ass!
