I had the best fucking time at speed dating. Why I was dreading it? I excel at the 3 minute relationship. I am not sure if it was the Manhattan or the realization that I was the best looking woman at the event, but as I watched the crowd gather, my confidence soared. I will find out how I fared with the men on Friday, but with the women it was a split decision. I managed to leave with the phone number of a woman, who not interested in being my friend. But I also got into a fight in the bathroom. Half way through we had and break and I need to check my lipstick. The woman sitting next to me came up to the mirror next to me and was mean to me. Bitch!

Her: You seem to be popular.
Me: I am having a great time.
Her: God, I don’t know how you do it. 3 minutes with some of these guys is an eternity, but I guess you just show some skin and they are enthralled.
Me: Excuse me.
Her: How old are you? All the leg crossing and leaning forward is a bit obvious.
Me: It is not my fault you dressed like a man; no one wants to fuck an old woman in a pant suit.

It got really nasty from there, if I had been bit more drunk I would have considered some hair pulling, but I contained myself. My new girlfriend stepped in to end things.

As for the men, they loved me, especially the computer geeks. I flirted, made them laugh, drew out the shy ones, held my own with the skeezy ones. There were only two that I was sort of interested in, an old guy and another guy who just thought I was “adorable” and he had a dog too. The old guy and I hit it off when he sat down and asked how I liked my Maker’s Mark and I responded with “I love it, how are you enjoying the Crown Royal?”

I don’t care if I meet anyone, it was such an ego boost for me, I will have to do it again. They are having another one next week. Perhaps, I will drag Catallaxy along since the jerk owes me.
